Remarks Provide proof of maternity leave from the employer, presence/absence of remuneration payment, and verification of a doctor or a midwife on the claim form.

When an insured person takes maternity leave and nursing leave, etc.

When an insured person arranges nursing leave, etc., for a period until her child reaches the age of three (at the latest), payment of insurance premiums will be exempted for the nursing leave period if the employer offers this arrangement.
As for the maternity leave period, the payment of insurance premiums will be exempted if the employer offers this arrangement.
Application will be made by the employer. For details, please contact the person in charge at the business site.

  • * Nursing leave period: leave which conforms with the nursing leave or nursing leave system, for a period until the child reaches the age of three at the latest.
  • * Maternity leave period: the period of time on leave for maternity or childbirth, which occurs within the following period: from 42 days before childbirth (98 days for multiple birth), to 56 days after childbirth.
