When the long-term care insurance system does not apply

  1. HOME
  2. When the long-term care insurance system does not apply

A person aged 40 to 64 cannot become an insured person in the long-term care insurance scheme if he/she has an exemption for reasons such as an overseas assignment. Those who become exempted will have their insurance premium collections affected and therefore must report the exemption to the Health Insurance Association.
If you no longer qualify for exemption, for reasons such as returning home after termination of an overseas assignment, please report this to the Health Insurance Association.
